The WeatherTech track was built in 1957 near beautiful and historic Monterey and the town of Salinas at the bottom of a dried-up lake. The WeatherTech track is 2.238 miles long with 11 turns, including a dizzying turn at turns 8 and 8a, known as a corkscrew, where there is a steep turn as well as a significant elevation gain.
